Returns and Refunds
At Lagom Control, we stand behind the quality of our modules. We want your transition to a local-first smart home to be seamless and reliable.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your module is defective or was damaged during transit, we will make it right.
Technical Support first: Because our modules are specialized hardware (ESPHome), many “failures” are often simple configuration hurdles. We encourage you to contact us for troubleshooting first.
Replacements: If the hardware is confirmed faulty, we will provide a replacement unit or a full refund, including return shipping costs for the defective item.
3. Change of Mind
We understand that sometimes plans change.
30-Day Window: You may return unopened and unused modules within 30 days of purchase.
Condition: To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the module must be in its original packaging and in the same condition that you received it.
Shipping: For change-of-mind returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
4. Software & Flashing
Our modules are designed for transparency and flexibility.
Firmware: While we provide modules pre-flashed with ESPHome, any damage caused to the physical hardware by user-led electrical modifications or improper wiring is not covered under our standard warranty.
Support: We provide “Best Effort” support for Home Assistant integration, but cannot offer refunds based on 3rd-party software updates outside of our control.
5. How to Start a Return
To begin a return or report a faulty device:
Email us at hello@lagomcontrol.com.au with your order number.
Provide a brief description of the issue (photos or logs are always helpful).
We will provide you with instructions on where to send your item.
