What exactly is a Lagom Control module? It is an essential hardware replacement for the “cloud-dependent” chips found in many smart appliances. We build modules that fit into your existing devices (like fans and heat pumps) to give you 100% local control.

Do I need a cloud account to use your products? No. Our modules are designed to be completely independent. Your data stays in your home, and your devices never “phone home” to a remote server.

Technical Details

What firmware do the modules run? Every module comes pre-flashed with ESPHome. It’s transparent, open-source, and allows for native, instant integration into Home Assistant without writing any code.

What happens if my internet goes down? Your smart home keeps working. Because our modules communicate over your local Wi-Fi network directly to Home Assistant, an internet outage won’t stop you from controlling your lights, fans, or climate.

Is it hard to install? We aim for “Simple Control.” Most installations involve a basic hardware swap—unplugging a factory USB or chip and plugging ours in. No soldering is required for our standard module range.
